Since the beginning of the year, there is so much I would like to share with you all but don't want to overwhelm myself, cause that happens easily (sigh)... we're just going to take this one step at a time... one post at a time... so, let's get rollin'!
First up...
THE GETTY MUSEUM
Eli and I took Sophia and her favorite gal pal, Ella. These two youngn's were INCREDIBLY ADORABLE!!! We had such a blast with them!!! This has become one of my top 10 memorable day excursions because of all the smiles and laughs these 2 kiddies shared with each other!
(I apologize for the excessive use of exclamation points, can't promise I won't use them but will do my best to limit them. But, as some of you may know, I don't have much self-control in certain areas haha!)
Let me add that even though, on this particular day, it was mighty chilly with light winds, I somehow let the girls convince me that they didn't need to bring their outerwear... yeah, momentary brain shutdown (I'd like to blame this on a lack ofcoffee caffeine). So please note how they ended up sharing my jacket, but turned out to be one of the best pics of the day!

Waiting for the tram to get to the museum |
This is ONE OF MY MOST FAVE PIC OF THESE 2 CUTIES!!! How adorable and cute that they're holding hands, awww!!! Also, I am totally digging both their shoes! I sometimes just cannot get enough of them (yes, I definitely want to just pinch their cheeks... watch out, girls!). Oh! And the conversations they have, puts a smile on my face and sometimes all-out laughter.
They ran into the museum while overfilled with excitement and gitty-ness. We actually went to the museum to participate in a kids' event but ended up having an amazing time totally outside of what we had planned--don't you just love it when things work out better than you had hoped?!?
Girls asked for a pic of them by this HUGE window--they talked about that for a good while. They were wowed by the size and commented that it looked as though they were flying (seriously, how cute??? That's right, TOO CUTE!! )
We stood by this pool of water for a good 20 min, apparently they share a love for water and fountains.
I CANNOT come close to conveying to you readers how much this pic warms my heart! It portrays such happiness and joy! This is a pic that I will always cherish and look back on--one of life's perfect moments that I was lucky enough to have caught.
And that pretty much sums up our trip to The Getty.
Wait, folks! This ain't over yet!
Before we headed to the museum, we had made a stop at the Home Depot kids' event (highly, highly recommended!) to make a wee birdhouse. This event is so awesome--they provide ALL materials including an apron and pin for the kiddies to take home, and plenty of snacks and drinks while the little munchkins hammer and paint away...

Area in front of them is filled with water just about 2", so peaceful |

HOME DEPOT
Hammers ready! |
Hmm... for some reason I didn't get a finished product pic... go figure... eh...
Finally, in between hammering at Home Depot and great times at The Getty, we managed to squeeze in a stop at the park. How? I don't really know. But thinking back on this day makes me tired haha!! And, of course, no park visit is complete unless ice cream is involved =D
Such a serious look on Sophia haha |
Okay, so I think I'm done with this post finally... is anybody still reading? Haha =P
I don't know about everybody else on this day-venture, but I had a blast with the girls and feel blessed that I got to experience these moments that will always be locked in my heart...
'Til the next outing...
Love,
Cookie & Mama
