Cookie & Mama Musings: Final Kinder Hip-hop Show

That's right!! You have a smile on your face, don't ya?? How could you NOT have a smile after just getting a glimpse of that cute goofiness?!! I love it!!! But, then again... there's not much that I don't love about this ADORABLE wee one... ((GASP!!!)) she is not that wee anymore!... or for too much longer!!

Ohmigoodness!! How quickly time flies... even more so when you have a child. I don't think I've ever travelled through time as quickly as these last ~~six years~~ nine months!!! And goodness (!!), I never would have thought how busy a kindergartener's life can be at school!! Fo' real!!! No joke! I felt like every time I turned around, I was asking my boss for time off to either attend a turkey run, play Halloween carnival games, assist w/ violin, attend Monday morning assemblies, make fruit salad... the list goes on--that's just the VERY tip of the iceberg. I know I'm not alone in saying that I was never or even came slightly close to this kind of busy when I was in kinder! I just remember having different "stations" in the class and rotating w/ my little group and completing each station's activity, like playing "house." Oh, and I do remember learning the alphabet song, basic shapes and colors, and some other little things here and there. Nowadays, they got kinders reading, writing, crafting with all sorts of mixed mediums, playing the violin, completing math equations (addition/subtraction) in both numeral and word format... yes, you read that correctly--Cookie, here, can read a basic mathematical sentence and give me the bottom line total... CORRECTLY!!! Seriously!! Like... SERIOUSLY!!! Sigh, smh... are you friggin' kiddin' me?? At her age, I was excited when I could sing the alphabet song by myself! And here's Sophia, tellin' me that if I had five apples and she took three, I would only have two left... just enough for Eli and me (haha)... I hope nobody EVER questions how smart these little young'ns can be!!!!
